The transcripts are based upon those created by the UN, with additional speaker assignment corrections applied. We will be conducting further cleaning of the UN-supplied transcripts in the future. As with the OEWG transcripts, these are unofficial aids to follow the discussions and not official documents.

Q. How accurate are the transcripts?
The transcripts are based upon those created by the UN, with additional speaker assignment corrections applied. The underlying transcript text is the UN’s output and may contain errors — as with any automated transcription, a single word can flip the meaning of a sentence. We will be conducting further cleaning of the UN-supplied transcripts in the future.
Q. How do the transcripts handle interventions that were not made in English?
The transcripts use the recording of the English audio channel of the session. This means they transcribe the English interpretation of interventions made in other languages, not the original speech.
Q. I want to correct something in a transcript. How do I do that?
At the bottom of each transcript is a comment section that you can use to suggest corrections. Please include the timestamp and the speaker so the correction can be located easily.
For example: United Kingdom speaking (01:05:14) – “red lorry, yellow lolly” should be “red lorry, yellow lorry”.
Q. It was me speaking. Can I correct what I (or the interpreter) said or replace the transcript with my prepared statement?
I would like the transcripts to accurately reflect what was heard in the meeting itself while also giving delegations the opportunity to share their prepared statements. If you would like to provide a correction or your prepared text, please use the comment section at the bottom of the relevant transcript page.
